Common questions

How do I add belongings?

Choose Add things to add photographs and item details, then organise them into rooms. Review any suggested recognition results before saving.

Can Vaulted confirm my insurance coverage?

No. Extracted policy details and suggested matches are aids to organisation. Read the original policy, check exclusions, dates and limits, and confirm coverage with your insurer. Vaulted is not an insurer and does not provide insurance advice.

How do trip lists work?

Create a trip and add belongings to its packing list. Record extra items and mark things as packed. Linked policies are for reference and do not verify that a trip or item is insured.

Does my vault sync to the cloud?

The current iPhone app stores new vault data on your device and does not require an account. Normal operation works offline. An upgrade from an older version may need a one-time download of previously cloud-only attachments.

How do I keep a copy of my vault?

Use the export options in Settings and choose a trusted destination in the system share sheet. Check the exported contents before relying on a copy. Exports can contain sensitive documents and item values, so keep them private.

Something went wrong after an update. Should I reinstall?

Please contact support first. Deleting the app removes the vault stored on your device. Keep existing data and any export files while we investigate.

How do I delete my data?

Settings lets you delete your active vault. Deleting the app removes the local app container, including retained migration copies. Exports, earlier cloud copies and device backups are separate; manage those where they are stored.
